AL-righthanded-Vladimir Guerrero (runner up A-rod)
AL-lefthanded-Joe Mauer
NL-righthanded-Albert Pujols
NL-lefthanded-Ken Griffey Jr.
Best of all-Joe Mauer References :
Ichiro looks like he's swatting at butterflies and Vlad Guerrero, I can't tell what he's doing. Eric Chavez has a sweet swing, but only wished he could make some contact….. References :
Actually, this question was asked to Lance Berkman and the results were in my paper. In the top 5, I believe he included Griffey, Ichiro, Prince Fielder, Joe Mauer, and someone else. I personally believe it's Griffey. He has such a pure stroke. References :
I'll have to agree with the majority here. Griffey has the sweetest and purest left-handed stroke in the league by far. I would give a nod to Berkman as a second place because I love his chaotic sort of pull he has to the ball. It's hard to explain, but the guy just knows how to come across the zone. Anyway, those who don't agree with Griffey must be crazy. His swing has always been one of the most fascinating of all time. References :
