I have been hitting golf balls left handed for fun for about 5-10 years. I started playing for school and they told me that since i haven't played long to learn right handed but my moms boyfriend who taught me says that i need to stay left handed so what should i do?
Do which ever feels more comfortable.

I believe that someone at my work is trying to make me look stupid, but I have no idea if there really is left and right handed balls. They also said you can get balls that won't get stuck in trees. It sounds so stupid to me, but they were so serious.
I am so glad I asked.....I don't care if your guys think I am stupid.....:)
That sounded mean...I am just glad that I do not know any of you guys

Nothing, the only thing they could do is put a pocket on the other side and say it's for a left hand er. I have worked in a pro shop for 27 years and I have not come across a golf bag that claims to be for left handed.

I am right handed and my coach told me to maybe carry a left handed club in my bag in case I get behind a tree or something where I couldn't swing right handed. My dad thinks I should just turn my right handed club around and swing left handed. What should I do?
No need to.I am a left handed golfer who has been playing for 30 plus years and I can only think of 3 maybe 4 times that I wished I had a right handed club. In each case I took my putter,Yes putter, and got out of big trouble. You are not going to hit it far but its better than trying to get fancy and maybe even missing the ball completely. One small shot with the putter and you still have a chance at par.Try this, turn your club around and hit the ball and than use your putter.watch the results. Oh by the way I once seen a fellow hit a ball 40 plus yards with his putter to get out of trouble.

Hockey stats show roughly a 50/50 split in left hand shooters vs right handed shooters
Baseball stats show similar rates in left hand swing vs right hand swing
Why is golf so different?
In Hockey the right or left handed may have an advantage based on the position they play,,In baseball being able to switch hands as a batter is based what hand the pitcher is throwing with..with golf availability of club may have something to do with this as I am left handed but leaned to play righty because I got a set of right handed clubs from an uncle when i was young..also i think golf courses are designed to favor right handed golfers...this might explain why if 90% of people are right handed why aren't 10% of pro golfers left handed..because only exceptional lefties can compete on the pro tour in part because the courses tend to favor righties...

I don't know how to tell if a club is right handed or left. How can you tell??
Plus, how do I know what its made of? if it helps,I have 8 wilson dynapower staff ultralite 3-9 + a pitching wedge
then 4 powerbilt true temper citation numbers 1,3,4, and 5.
Then, I have a true temper bullet2 putter(?)
and last a king cobra 3 club. `
I don't know anything about golf clubs.
Just hold the club in front of you and if the face of the club points to the left then it is a right handed club and if it points to the right then it is a left handed club. Steel shafted clubs shine and are od metallic appearance whilst a graphite shafted club is not metallic and is usually less shiny.

Well it depends on which feels more natural. I am left-handed but I Golf Right-handed. I suggest you got to a sporting goods store and make a slow careful swing with each type right and left and see which feels more natural.

this may seem stupid but if you hold it as if to hit a golf ball, if the face, the part that strikes the ball, is to your left then its a right hand club. if its to your right its a left hand club.
